Dana Ia. Sept 12 1912
Council met in regular meeting, members present Mayor R.G. Martin, Councilmen G.E. Meridith, S.A. Martin, A.J. McNurlan, Geo Johnson, Geo Morris. Minutes of last meeting read & approved. The petition for sidewalk signed by C.V. French & others was presented to the council. Moved & 2nd that the clerk notify Mel Collins & G.H. Patrick that a sidewalk has been ordered in along the west side of their respective property. Motion carried. Moved & 2nd that the clerk be instructed to notify F.J. Prumble that he must put in sidewalk along west side of his property to connect with sidewalk already in same, to be put in inside of 30 days or the same will be put in by the town & cost charged to him. Motion carried.
Moved & 2nd that the following bills be allowed & an order be drawn on Treas. for same. Motion carried:
J.W. Jamerson, Gas & mantles — 1.05
Cap Woltz, 4 hooks for ladder — .80
Jennie Ferguson, rent — 3.00
J. McCallen, lighting st. lights — 8.00
The amendment to article 16 sec 1 passed its third reading Sept 2, 1912.
Moved by Geo Johnson, 2nd by G. Morris that we adjourn to meet next regular meeting night. Motion carried.
