MINUTES
Council met in regular session on May 6, 2008 at 7:00 pm at Dana Community Center
with Mayor Jack Pedersen presiding. Council members present Ethel Hurley, Jack Hurley, Virgil
Pedersen. Absent: none
Laurie Henderson and Kelly Madison were present to discuss the stray cat population in
the City. They wish to trap them and turn them over to the pound. Discussion was held.
Motion E Hurley, second J Hurley to approve the agenda. Ayes: all mc. Minutes of April
2 meeting were approved as amended. Motion V Pedersen, second J Hurley to approve financial
reports. Ayes: all mc. Motion J Hurley, second V Pedersen to approve all current bills and all
bills due prior to next regular meeting. Ayes: all me.
Sheriff's report for April was reviewed.
Gilmore Street in front of Juhls needs repair. Call Fort Dodge Asphalt for an estimate.
The application for a grant to do the sewer project was not approved. We will apply again
next fall.
We will apply for a grant from the insurance company to paint the community center. We
need to get a bid on the cost.
We need to get some information on RAGBRAI about vendors setting up in Dana.
Motion J Hurley, second V Pedersen to adjourn at 7:25 pm. Next regular council meeting
Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 7:00 pm at Dana Community Center.
