UNAPPROVED MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 17, 1990 COUNCIL MEETING
The council met in regular session with Mayor Pedersen presiding
and all councilmembers present.
The minutes of the August 15, 1990 council meeting were read and approved.
Councilmember Border introduced and caused to be read Oridinance No. 41
Councilmember Border moves that the rule requiring ordinances to be read on
three separate days be waived and that Ordinance No. be placed upon final
adoption at this time, said motion was second by Councilmember Hadley
Upon roll call the following voted aye: Hillman Pedersen Hurley
Hadley Border and naye: none.
There upon Councilmember Border moved that Oridance No.41 be adopted. The
motion was s@6ond by Hadley - Upon roll call the following Councilmembers
voted aye: Border Hadley Hurley Pedersen Hillman ,
AND NAYE: none
There upon the Mayor declared Ordinance No. 41 adopted.
The council discussed street signs.
Motion by Pedersen second by Hillman to adopt the General Electric loan
report prepared by the City Clerk. Motion Carried.
Acopy of the Sate Water rules were discussed.
Motion by Hurley second by Border to pay the following bills and all bills
due prior to the next regular council meeting, Motion Carried.
GENERAL FUND: Iowa Electric, service, 39.10; Idea Press, supplies, 19.05;
Midwest Sales Co. swing set, 930.91; George Brabbs, wages, 117.90;
Consolidated Coop.,Inc.,fuel, 54.60; Rueter's Red Power, repairs, 70.71;
Ivan Hillman, supplies, 81.05; Virgil Pedersen, supplies, 32.70; Linda S.
Pearce and Dana Water Plant, Liquor license refund, 18.03; Linda S. Pearce,
liquor license refund, 274.47; General telephone Co.,service, 59.80; George
Brabbs, motel remb.,66.48; IMFOA, manual and registration,,79.00; Virgil
pedersen, supplies, 54.29; Jer Pedersen, mowing, 46.00.
ROAD USE TAX FUND: Iowa Electric, service, 145.74.
WATER FUND: Iowa Electric, service, 55.62; Postmaster, postage, 50.00;
Dan Acton, wages, 93.78, mileage, 33.60, postage, 1.10; George Brabbs, wages,
119.91; Gerald W.Magee, legal service, 10.00.
RECEIPT FIND:
General Fund: 149.66; Road Use Tax Fund,452.81; Water Fund, 928.27.
Next Regular council meeting October 24, 1990 at 7:00 p.m. at the
Community Center.
Motion by Hillman second by Pedersen to adjourn. Motion Carried.
