MINUTES
Council met in regular session on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 7:00 pm at Dana
Community Center with Mayor Jack Pedersen presiding. Council members present: Ethel Hurley,
Jack Hurley, Virgil Pedersen. Absent: none.
Motion J Hurley, second E Hurley to approve agenda. Ayes: all mc. Minutes of July 2,
2008 meeting were approved as printed. Motion V Pedersen, second J Hurley to approve
financial reports. Ayes: all mc. Motion J Hurley, second V Pedersen to approve all current bills
and all bills due prior to next regular meeting. The bill from the vet for a cat will be checked out
by Jack Pedersen before paid. Ayes: all mc.
Sheriff's report for June and July were reviewed.
Steve Hillman was present to discuss the insurance policy. The workers comp bill will be
reviewed by him before it is paid.
We received money from some Ragbrai vendors for their space during the bike ride.
Rick Morain and Jason White from Midwest Partnership were present to discuss their role
in Greene County. The position is to promote property tax growth, new and existing businesses,
and jobs for the residents of Greene County.
Motion V Pedersen, second J Hurley to adjourn at 8:00 pm. Next regular council meeting
Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 7:00 pm at Dana Community Center.
