MINUTES
Council met in regular session on March 7, 2007 at 7:00 pm at Dana Community Center
with Mayor Jack Pedersen presiding. Council members present: Ethel Hurley, Jack Hurley, Virgil
Pedersen. Absent: none
Public Hearing for 2008 Budget was opened at 7:03. No written or oral comments were
received. Discussion was held. Public Hearing was closed at 7:04. Motion J Hurley, second E
Hurley to approve 2008 Budget. Yes: E Hurley, J Hurley, V Pedersen. mc.
Corey Iben was present from Xenia Water to discuss the sewer plan. They will have the
engineers work on a plan to submit to DNR. Then they will apply for the grant money.
Motion J Hurley, second E Hurley to proceed with anticipated project implementation schedule.
Ayes: all mc.
Motion J Hurley, second V Pedersen to approve agenda. Ayes: all mc. Minutes of
February 7 meeting were approved as written. Motion J Hurley, second E Hurley to approve
financial reports. Ayes: all mc. Motion J Hurley, second V Pedersen to approve all current bills
and all bills due prior to next regular meeting. Ayes: all mc.
Clerk has been unable to reach Mark Rasmussen, attorney, to ask him to prepare quit
claim deeds for property that the city has been paying the property taxes. Jack Pedersen will
deliver the information to him for preparation of the quit claim deeds.
Sheriff's report for February was reviewed.
Thank you’s will be sent to Bill Glawe, Bill Zollars, Juhl Feed for helping with snow
removal.
Motion J Hurley, second E Hurley to adjourn at 7:45 pm. Next regular council meeting
Wednesday, April 4 at 7:00 pm at Dana Community Center.
